FilmVault keeps your whole film in one place — the cinema DCP and a playable master, plus trailer, subtitles and artwork — in durable, encrypted, integrity-checked storage. On top of storage it validates DCPs against the DCI spec, converts masters into screening-ready DCPs, cuts KDM keys, and lets you share films privately with cinemas, programmers and festivals.

A Digital Cinema Package (DCP) is the format cinemas actually project. FilmVault validates every DCP against the DCI specification — verifying the CPL, ASSETMAP and PKL hashes — and gives you a full QC report you can download as a PDF.

Yes. Conversion takes a source master and produces a screening-ready DCP — JPEG 2000, MXF, and the CPL/PKL/ASSETMAP — with optional AES-128 encryption. You can add audio and subtitle tracks as part of the encode.

A complete film package: the master, the DCP, trailer, subtitle sidecars and fonts, and artwork. Vaults are sized per title with a fair-use capacity ceiling that comfortably fits a normal film package.

Vaults are priced per title, not as a shared pool, at fixed tiers. Validation and secure sharing are built in. One-off work — such as an encode, extra validation, or add-ons — is charged as a one-time purchase. Current prices are shown on the site and at checkout.

Monthly Vault and festival-pool plans carry a 3-month minimum: the first three months are billed together on your first invoice — Starter at $10/mo is $30 today, Standard at $24/mo is $72, Advanced at $86/mo is $258. After those three months the plan renews month to month and you can cancel any month. Annual plans are billed once, upfront, for the full year. One-time purchases (a Single Festival Delivery, an encode) have no minimum — they're charged once.

Conversion is priced by runtime on a tapering rate: $50 flat plus $11/minute for the first 30 minutes, $7/minute from 31–90, and $4/minute beyond. So a 5-minute trailer is $105, a 30-minute short $380, and a 90-minute feature $800. 4K, encryption & KDM setup, rush turnaround and extra subtitle tracks are add-ons; converting a film that isn't on a Vault yet also adds its first year of Film Vault at a bundled discount, so the package has somewhere to live.

The site always shows prices in US dollars (USD). If you're outside the US, our payment processor (Stripe) presents and charges your local currency at checkout using adaptive pricing.

Payments are handled securely by Stripe. Recurring vaults renew automatically until you cancel; one-time items are charged once. You can start some purchases while logged out — paying automatically creates your account, which you then access via an email sign-in link.

You can cancel a recurring plan at any time from your account; it stops renewing at the end of the current period — or, on a monthly plan cancelled inside its 3-month minimum, at the end of that minimum. Fees already paid and one-time services already performed are generally non-refundable, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. See the Terms of Service for details.

You can hand any film to a cinema, programmer or collaborator with a private, revocable link — either the cinema DCP, or a playable master / screener for laptops and review. Revoke the link and it stops working immediately.

If your DCP is encrypted, a Key Delivery Message (KDM) unlocks it for a specific projector, within a date window you set. FilmVault cuts per-cinema KDMs from each projector certificate — keys that play only where and when you say.

Festival plans include a number of concurrent delivery slots. Each active delivery occupies one slot; when a festival declines or you revoke a delivery, that slot frees up for the next one.

Files are held in encrypted, integrity-checked storage, and DCPs can additionally carry AES-128 encryption with access gated by KDMs. Private share links are revocable at any time.

No. You keep full ownership of everything you upload. We only process your content to run the service for you — storing it, validating it, encoding it, or delivering it to people you share it with. See Your content & ownership in the Terms.

You can export your content. After cancellation or non-payment we may suspend access and, after a reasonable retention period, delete the content. Always keep your own master copy of anything irreplaceable — don't rely on any service as your only copy.

No advertising or retargeting trackers. We use browser storage to keep you signed in, and for up to 30 days after a festival outreach click to attribute visits and account creation to that email; our payment processor sets its own cookies during checkout, and Google Analytics tells us in aggregate how the site is used — with login keys and screener tokens stripped out of every URL first.
